Hi, I'm just a regular person with a day job who tries to see a little bit of the world when I can. This is just a simple log of my trips, the big and the small. Mostly for my own memory, but you're welcome to look around.
I didn't have much of a plan, just wandered around the old part of the city. My sense of direction is pretty terrible, but getting lost led me down some really beautiful, quiet streets I don't think I would have found otherwise.

Took a bus out to the coast and just started walking. The weather wasn't perfect, a bit gray and windy, but there was something really peaceful about watching the waves. I just sat on a bench for an hour, not really thinking about anything.

I realized I had left my map back at the guesthouse right after I'd gotten off the train. Instead of going back, I figured I'd just try to find my way. I ended up asking a few locals for directions and had some nice, brief conversations I wouldn't have had otherwise.

It wasn't in any of the guidebooks I saw. Just a small sign that pointed up a steep hill. It was a bit of a climb, but the local history museum at the top was a real gem. Just a couple of rooms, but full of interesting things. I was the only one there.
